I was very disappointed when I received these. They're long enough to twirl, and they're very attractive, but they really won't twirl at all. I bought one for each of four of our granddaughters, and I thought I could teach them some twirling tricks. Unless I add some weights of some kind, they won't be able to do any tricks with these. I'd say they're just for preschoolers to pretend to twirl.
